Listening to Understand - the First Step to Change
I work with people on progressing through traumas, losses, depression, anxiety, personal development, relationship and family problems, and parenting concerns. Of course, there are many adjustments that can present a challenge. In addition, I am very comfortable working with clients making major decisions and life adjustments. And, I thoroughly enjoy my work and the meaningful ways in which therapy can enrich lives - of clients and those around them.
I am a fully-licensed and trained clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience. I received my undergraduate degree from Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, and my graduate and doctoral degrees from Central Michigan University. I have completed continuing education courses through the many state and national groups. I have worked at a number of community mental health centers, an inpatient psychiatric unit, a center for developmentally disabled residents, and mainly, a private practice for years. I also have taught at the college level. I continue to learn professionally and have provided years of supervision as well.
